the book club is a response to increased public surveillance. i identify public locations near me that are monitored with video and audio, select a text of my choice, and form a nonconsensual book club with those who are watching me. 

i visit the location to announce the title we will read and discuss one-week prior to my first session in the space. 

i record the sessions and other interactions with the space.
