between the trees

between the trees is an investigation of the borders between my local community, xAI data centers, and supporting infrastructure. At present, this work explores the spaces between and around eight sites, blurring state and municipal boundaries, highlighting the extensive sprawl and consumption of shared resources.

interrogating my vernacular landscape, i explore the edges of the landscape that facilitate covering and/or obstructing the visibility of these structures and labor, obscuring the presence, expansion, and impact of big tech across the "digital delta."

the photographs, accompanying documents, and audio function as an abstract narrative, tangled with historical and contemporary socio-political nuance, regarding the southern landscape and its current relationship with techno-colonialism.
